This workshop is about cooking and ability to cook food and will include the following:
To discover and experience West African food. They will be involved in cooking They will prepare the food. They will know how to use ingredient and spices. They learn about combining ingredient and spices. They learn about the tropical food chain. The will lean how to clean meat or fish before cooking. They will learn the tropical root vegetables and their values in the food chain. They will learn the importance of timing in cooking food. They learn the value of food and respect for food. They learn how to clean and use your bare hand to eat and enjoy eating. They will discover the enjoyment of cooking for your own and for others what you may want and like. The student may progress as individuals to love cooking and use it as career /job in the future. It will also help them when travelling to Africa to know the different types of Gambian food.
