I had provided nine primary schools involve, with a introduction of the project with wood carvings and masking making demonstration.
• This involve to carve a African Mask face from piece of wood from the start to finish in one day workshop.
The student get involve for creating, design and carve mask face through following the Ten steps for wood carving.
By the end of the day we were able to completed carving the face which today remained with each school.
• The student have experience the process, methods, technique involve in wood carving
The students’ learned my “Ten Steps of Wood Carving” and gain an understanding about different woods, tools and resources used to complete the carving.
• The students there for also craft there own hunting and dancing mask face. These was done with colour cards, wooden stick match sticks, glitters etc. these once more experience for students creativity and designs.
The student also have draw African mask face, which on the top side a design about and represents Wales .
• During these workshops in Primary schools we discuss a lot about family culture at home and at schools. We there for link the purpose for the will be a West African Family Tree.
As and African saying--------WE ALL COME FROM A FAMILY AND WE GOING TO FAMILY.
• These collection of designs from students did gave a character picture in which we select design for the Totem pole design multiple mask faces and they will represents everyone and everybody from the all nine primary schools and pupils of Fitzalan High.
The family culture that what purpose of this project all the students seeing themselves, all in one piece of Oak tree wood as family tree.
Traditional Family tree,love for one and love all, all in one to be remember for ever living the life long of a Oak tree.
